Fields
The fields it needs
Assign every field to the recipient who has to fill it in. A field with no owner is the most common reason a document comes back unfinished.
| Field | Who fills it | Required |
|---|---|---|
| Signature | Both | Yes |
| Full name | Both | Yes |
| Company | Contractor | Optional |
| Rate | Client | Yes |
| Scope of work | Client | Yes |
| DepositA payment field if you take money up front. | Client | Optional |
Payment
Take the money at the signature
If you take a deposit before starting, collect it during signing. It removes the invoice, the reminder and the week between them.
Before you send
What to get right
- Attach the scope as its own page and require an initial on it, so nobody argues later about which version was agreed.
- Use an attachment field if you need a certificate of insurance back at the same time.
